Current Project Bids
Note: All form
pages worked on should be updated to meet new standards. Example: Update fields to comply with foreign
field entries. A basic standard needs to
be applied to applicable pages shown below.
The actual updating of a form should be in your cost estimate when
working on that form.
Registration
Page should be used as the basic standard for all forms (note programmer will
need to consult us on updating this to a better “standards” form):
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/MemberForm.aspx
Programmer/
designer should review and submit general standards that he/she believes all
basic forms should use for my approval.
General standards can be placed on demo MemberForm.aspx …this is to prepare the standards rules and
use the MemberForm.aspx as a typical that all forms
will abide by and where changes are needed on the forms shown below or on
future forms, those rules will apply.
************************************************************************
General Info About Bidding
“Estimated
Completion Time” is important and means, after I have accepted your estimate,
you are stating that it will take you that many days to complete the project. Please do your best to stick to completion
time you give.
If more than one of your bids are accepted, I will prioritize them so
that you work on number one on the priority list, then number two completion
time will began only when number one is completed.
Volunteer
programmers or others may work on below items, so please don’t begin a project
unless approved by me. The amounts shown
below are just my estimates of what I know from past bids on other jobs and are
just a starting point for your review and bidding.
You do not
need to bid on all the items below, but only on the ones you feel confident
that you can complete in a reasonable and timely way.
If you work on a project, you are expected to beta test it
completely (your responsibility, not ours) …you will need to make sure that it
works correctly with all of its associated programs and database links. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to test all
functions of a page and make sure it is working correctly and the spelling and
grammar is correct. However, if your
project is found to be faulty by us, it is your responsibility to correct the
problem at no extra charge. We expect
you to do the programming correctly, before you submit it to us for
approval and NOT give us a page that is with obvious errors.
************************************************************************
Note
how our forms now work:
************************************************************************
note: a fairly small amount of the work shown below has already been
completed but needs to be fully tested.
Immediate need: The http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/MemberForm.asp is not correctly
posting the “contact” person on the “church directory” page. When the check box is checked on the above
form and approved by admin, it should list that person on the church directory
page that he is a member of. Also on
the Prayer List page < http://newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerList.aspx
>it is not displaying the phone numbers all of the time. The problem is most likely on the pages I
view in admin for approval < http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/index.asp
> and
after I click submit… it is then not posting to the church directory and the
prayer list pages correctly. (both should be simple to fix, but need to be fixed as soon
as possible)
Example
of not posting a contact person… See:
Wesley Cockrum on our admin page < http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/admin.asp
> under “Update An Existing Member” …you will notice that the box is
checked for him being a contact person, but if you go to his home congregation
in our Church Directory he is NOT posted.
(the last person that did programming messed
this up).

On Prayer
Request Public Pages:
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerList.aspx
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerList.aspx?dateS=none
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerList.aspx?dateS=1/1/01&dateE=1/1/02
“After” the Condensed Prayer List table, and only in each
“comment” section of each prayer request, Indent right margin a small amount and

2. [$ ] {Estimated Completion Time: _________}
Prayer
Request form to be updated:
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerRequestMainForm.asp
Prayer Request Form needs to be updated to fully accommodate
foreign entries and then “active” associated Prayer List pages need to
accommodate those new entries. Example: overseas
phone numbers, etc. Allow a place for ONE
200x200pixels picture upload that can be displayed on the prayer list and can
be changed on “updated” prayer form or edited on admin page.
3. [$ ] {Estimated Completion Time: _________}
“Update”
Prayer Request form to be updated:
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerRequestUpdateSelector.aspx
Change name, address and all other info so that it will be in
fields that can also be updated (just like the comment section). Allow a place for the ONE
200x200pixels picture to be updated or uploaded. Fix the drop down to show alphabetical list…
right now it does except alphabetical listings for short (3 or less
characters). The reason is the “Last” name on the prayer request forms will NOW
only allow 4 characters or more and some people are putting “spaces” to make
(example Fox) 4 digits… fix to where it allows 2 characters or more and that
will solve the problem. Fix problem
with duplicate “Death of” entry when death of check box has been check and
someone updates info about the death. * “Death of” shows up correctly the first time it
is posted and approved by admin… however if someone submits an “update”
on the person who died (say they are now giving info on the funeral)… that
Death of goes to both a “new” entry and also a “update” entry on the
admin page and if you try to delete the new entry (I think) …it will completely
delete the update also and you lose all of that person’s data.
On the prayer request
update form, when you enter new information in the “Reason for Prayer” field,
it is not being updated on the Admin page and when you approve the update, it
displays the “old” reason for prayer.
4. [$ ] {Estimated Completion Time: _________}

Website Automatic “Send Bulk Email” program:
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/sortedbrotherhoodemail.asp
also:
Prayer
request approval Admin form "send email"
Prayer
request update approval Admin form "send email"
At least some of these pages are not sorting correctly when it
bulk emails. It should send to only
those who have checked the box on their registration –member’s form that they
want to receive email notices. Right now
it sometimes is emailing everyone. MAKE SURE
that auto-send program is sending out as a “BLIND” SEND. Correct the “editor’s” comment field to be
defaulted with nothing in it and is only added to the prayer request if admin
places a note there.

Forms
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/SendEmailComments.asp
Have already created comments forms (off of homepage and Member's Area
Page) show as much information [hidden info / Info off their computer] as
possible on who is sending info (this is only for ADMIN information and this
type info should not be published to members or public), (email info to
gospel@newtestamentchurch.org and also place comments on admin page so they can
be posted to “What People Say” comment page, if they are approved). Use same format as now appears on: http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/friends/Comments/Comments-00.html
(notice there is no email / street addresses or phone numbers displayed …don’t
want this displayed because of programs that grab email addresses for spamming)
If cookies are not allowed... let them comment anyway. When a person submits a comment, they will be
directed to a confirmation page.
Add Name and Email address fields to all comment forms. Also, place a link to a comment form on each
active asp… “What People Say About Us” page when they
are created.
Allow a comment to be posted to "What People Say About Us" page if admin approves it. Set it up for admin approval-edit-delete /
additional auto email sent to person making comment letting them know that
their comment has been posted to our “What People Say” comment page.
Extra data on who is sending comment does not need to be stored in
database once viewed on admin page.
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/friends/Comments/Comments-01.html
Automatically Archive each year of the comments like the following
prayer archived page:
http://www.newtestamentchurch.org/asp/PrayerListOld/Archived.asp
Note: you must be in members password protected
area before you can view the above link.
“What People Say” comment page/s will not be protected and are open for

~~~Submit Forms & their active pages~~~
Each
item below will consist of a form with upload pictures option / confirmation
page with submitted entries displayed on confirmation page/ notice to gospel@newtestamentchurch.org
/ admin approval-edit-delete / active page ...with basic structure as
"comment form" shown above, including archive and bulk email send
option. Pictures can be thumbnailed below
On admin page, indicate that something is pending on a particular
form so that you do not have to click on each admin form link to see if
anything needs approving. Active pages
are created by these forms once approved by admin. (this bid is for
items already on admin page, the new forms that are shown below and will be
added when they are completed, should be figured in each of below bids.) Sarita… you have
already done this for “Approve A Member” , but it
needs to be completed for the other links that have or will have pending data
to be approved.
