Chocolate Cake

bullet2 cups flour
bullet2 cups sugar
bullet1 stick oleo
bullet1/2 cup shortening
bullet4 tbsp. cocoa
bullet1 cup cold water
bullet2 eggs
bullet1/2 cup buttermilk
bullet1 tsp. soda
bullet1 tsp. vanilla
bulletIn mixing bowl, stir in flour and sugar.
bulletIn a saucepan, bring to a rapid boil, the oleo, shortening, cocoa & cold water.
bulletPour over sugar and flour mixture, stirring well.
bulletAdd eggs, buttermilk, soda & vanilla.
bulletPour into 16x11 inch baking sheet.
bulletBake 20 minutes at 400.

bullet6 tbsp. milk
bullet1 box powdered sugar
bullet1 tsp. vanilla
bullet1 cup chopped pecans
bulletStart icing 5 minutes before cake is done.
bulletCombine the oleo, cocoa and milk in saucepan and bring to a boil.
bulletRemove from heat and add the powdered sugar and vanilla, beating well.
bulletAdd the pecans and spread on cake while cake and icing are hot.
