Kathy's Pie Crust

Sift together:

bullet4 cups flour
bullet1 tsp. baking powder
bullet1 tsp. salt
bullet1  2/3 cups lard or Crisco (lard makes the best pie crust)

Using hand blender, combine in a separate bowl:

bullet1 egg
bullet1/2 cup lukewarm water
bullet1 tsp. vinegar

 
bulletMix dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.
bulletCut in lard or Crisco using two table knives or pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
bulletAdd liquid to dry ingredients
bulletMakes 2 to 3 double crusts.
bulletI triple this recipe and freeze the extra dough
