Spinach Alfredo Lasagna

 

bullet12 ounces lasagna noodles
bullet1 pound bulk pork sausage
bullet1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
bullet1 jar (17 ounces) Alfredo sauce
bullet1/2 tsp. salt
bullet1/4 tsp. pepper
bullet1 egg
bullet2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
bullet1 carton (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
bullet1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
bullet1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
bulletSoak the noodles in hot water for 15 minutes.
bulletMeanwhile, brown the sausage in a skillet; drain.
bulletAdd spinach, Alfredo sauce, salt and pepper to the meat.
bulletIn a bowl, combine the egg and cheddar, ricotta, and Parmesan cheeses.
bulletIn an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan, layer a third of the meat mixture, noodles, and cheese mixture. 
bulletRepeat the layers twice.
bulletSprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
bulletCover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
bulletLet stand 15 minutes before cutting.
bulletThis is our favorite lasagna variation, and it is very good warmed up, too.
