Strawberry Fig Preserves

 
bullet3 cups mashed figs
bullet2  3 oz. strawberry gelatin
bullet3 cups sugar
bulletSterilize canning jars.
bulletWash and mash figs.
bulletPlace figs, gelatin and sugar in pot and bring to a boil. 
bulletLower heat and continue to boil 3-5 minutes, stirring often.
bulletPour hot preserves in hot jars.
bulletWipe jar rims and adjust lids.
bulletProcess 5 minutes in a boiling water bath.  
bulletMakes 18 4 oz. jars.
