| Sterilize canning jars. |
| Wash and mash figs. |
| Place figs, gelatin and sugar in pot and
bring to a boil. |
| Lower heat and continue to boil 3-5 minutes,
stirring often. |
| Pour hot preserves in hot jars. |
| Wipe jar rims and adjust lids. |
| Process 5 minutes in a boiling water bath.
| Makes 18 4 oz. jars. |
