CANDIED CARROTS
1 lb. carrots
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1/2 stick butter
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg or cinnamon
Dash of salt
Cut carrots in thick slices.
Mix all ingredients together.
Place in boiler, cover & cook for 10-15 minutes, or until carrots are tender.
Uncover & cook until heavy syrup is formed. (Be careful not to burn!)
Makes 6-8 servings
