Kadulandewo Church Meeting
Saturday, July 12, 2003
The Kadulandewo congregation is located in Kadulandewo
Village, Mchinji District in the Central Region of Malawi 468 km north northwest
of Blantyre. This congregation is about 10 km from the Zambia border and just
south of the Kasungu National Game Park. Davidson Kasambwe, his wife Margaret
and I left Blantyre at 3 AM in order to make it in time for the service which
began at 10 AM. We had 45 minutes to spare as it took only 6 hours and 15
minutes to make the trip.
There are several large farms in this area, so the population is not dense like
that here in the Southern Region. Even so, we had a nice group of brethren
gathered for the meeting. One thing which I appreciated about the place, besides
the people, is that it is very peaceful. It is over 50 km to the nearest paved
road and over 150 km from the city of Lilongwe.
On the left side of the photo, in the first row of adults, we have on the
outside, Margaret Kasambwe, then Davidson Kasambwe and next to Davidson is Chief
Kadulandewo who is also the preacher. --Jim Franklin, P.O. Box 573, Blantyre,
