On Sunday, August 11, 2002, Davidson Kasambwe and I traveled about 30 km east of Blantyre to visit the Mlambo congregation in Chiradzulu District where we had been invited to participate in their worship service. These are the brethren who gathered for worship. The preacher for the congregation is Bro. D. Mateyu, the man standing on the left in the front who has on a blue suit. The meeting took place under the arbor which you see to the right in the picture. The one thing which always make our visits to the bush enjoyable is the warm, friendly reception brethren give us. Mlambo was no exception. Sometimes I think we shake more hands than a politician! People let you know they are genuinely happy to see you. That is what motivates us. --Jim Franklin |
