Padela Church Meeting
July 27, 2002

This meeting took place on Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Padela congregation where Bro. James Matimati, Jr. is the preacher. Padela is located 77 km northeast of Blantyre in Padela Village near the Mayaka area of Zomba District, Malawi. We had good representation from other congregations located nearby. Davidson Kasambwe is in the lower right hand side of the picture. Standing next to him is Chief Padela who is also a member of the congregation. These brethren you see are among those in Malawi who received assistance for food earlier this year which was supplied by American and Australian brethren. On the occasion of this meeting, they expressed their gratitude to all who cared enough to help them in their time of need. Notice the little girl standing in front of Davidson. She has a very large distended stomach, the sign of malnutrition. --Jim Franklin
