Meeting Hosted by Sayenda Congregation
July 14, 2002
This is the crowd who attended the meeting hosted
by the Sayenda congregation on July 14, 2002. Sayenda village is
located about 70 km southeast of Blantyre in Mulanje District,
Malawi. It had been a long time since I was in this village
area. The brethren were ready and very enthusiastic about our coming to
be with them for the Lord's Day service. When we arrived about 1/4
km from the place of worship, the sisters met us in order to give us a
traditional African greeting of their particular area with an escort to
the place of worship. As usual, African services coupled with
traditional activities after dismissal of services make for a long
time. However, nobody seems to mind. Instead, the people enjoy
their time of fellowship. I was the guest speaker and Davidson
Kasambwe did the translating. --Jim Franklin |
