WHAT IS YOUR LIFE?
Cpl. Wm. H. Bradley
"For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away" (James 4:14).
I have so often wondered why everyone goes along through life so unconcerned, never stopping to think. Life is but a dressing room in which we prepare ourselves for a better world. We are here today - gone tomorrow! What would you give in exchange for your soul?
We may gain all earthly treasurers, but if we do not stop and consider: "What is My Lifc?" some day we will be called to meet our God, unprepared. Prepare to meet thy God. Today is the day of salvation. Now is the accented time. How will it be with you when you are called to meet your God?
God has set before us the way of life and the way of death (Jeremiah 21:8). It is left up to us. We can choose life eternal; and we can choose eternal death and torment. What will your answer be, when before the great Judge we stand?
Beloved, consider these few words of admonition from a sincere friend, who wishes you success in this world and a home eternal in heaven, after this short life is over.
