*We will be serving all the group meals “camp style” in
the dining hall.
*There are heated and cooled restroom and shower facilities
in the campground with hot water. Bring towels, washcloths, soap, and personal
hygiene items.
*The evening services will be conducted in the dining
hall. However, weather permitting, other activities will be enjoyed outdoors so
bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on.
Bring a light jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt for cool evenings.
*Optional activities during the day on Saturday will
include volleyball, hiking, fishing, Frisbee golf, board games, singing and a
playground for small children. You
may also bring your bicycle for trails.
*There will be no swimming. All campers are expected to wear modest
apparel at all times.
*We plan to have the traditional campfire singing on
Saturday night.
*There is a small entrance fee of $ 4.00 per person for
entering the State Park to attend the evening services or daytime activities. This
fee is included in the registration fee if you stay overnight in the park.
If you or some teens you know would like to attend the
meeting but the $ 25.00 fee is prohibitive, please let us know. We will cover these costs for any who cannot
afford it. We do not want to hinder
anyone from coming that wants to be a part of this meeting, but we must know
ahead of time so we can make provisions for everyone. All campers must make a reservation,
preferably by March 30th, so that we may provide adequate food and
sleeping accommodations. We are very excited about the meeting theme, the
planned sermon topics and the preachers we have selected. And we are already busy making
preparation. We hope you and others from
your home congregation will want to share this time with us. We look forward to hearing from you. Email gballard@brookhill.org, or call Glenn @
(903) 312-0371 or one of the brothers listed at the top of the cover letter.
