Provide a place for "Special Meeting Name"
If nothing listed then that line is skipped and then...

Is it possible to take off "Church of Christ" (last part of most churches names) to help spacing... Example

Aravind, I have not fully checked everything out... but the display is wonderful!!!

One last question to see if this is possible and how much time it would take... Right now I manually copy and past the current months Gospel Meetings List and bulk email it out to everyone wanting to receive notices... can this be done automatically on the 1st of every month for a listing of Gospel Meetings for that month???

I will send you a copy of an old send out for example.

That sure would be nice.

David

Please change the following place to post the time of a meeting and change the font to at least as small as the city/state (maybe a little smaller) and take of "Time Schedule:"  Everyone will know it is the times of the meetings.

Aravind... I know this will take time, but to make it more uniformed and maybe a little better looking... can you create some sort of check box system that may also encourage people to add the $10 "time schedule" service.

Example... The above "time schedule" for Little Rock AR... should look something like (with any item not checked the line is not displayed):

Post time schedule of Gospel Meeting on Gospel Meetings page. ( $10 )*

Sunday Morning Worship:

 H   M

Sunday Evening Worship:

 H   M

Weekdays Worship:

 H   M

Saturday Worship:

 H   M

(if Saturday is same as weekdays, please leave blank)

Lunch served:  (only one item can be checked)
After Sunday Morning Service/s (If only one Sunday Service in Meeting, Check Here)
After First Sunday Morning Service of the Meeting
After Final Sunday Morning Service of the Meeting
None

Refreshments After Evening Service: [Here have a drop down list]
(Use Ctrl Key To Select Multiple days)
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday

Note:  Any other info should be presented on an "Additional Information" web page.

I tried 3 times on the Gospel Meetings form to update Brandy KY and add the City... it said it successfully updated, but it did not change and add the city name:

June 7-14

Bandy Church of Christ
KY

Patrick Hickey

I also tried with the below and it did not accept the change:

June 10-14

Bankhead Drive Church of Christ
TX

John Criswell

There were a few other like these two with no city name... so I checked the Directory and the city was blank on all of them.  So I updated the directory in admin HOWEVER... I had to "again" enter the contact list order for it to accept the approval.  (nothing was displayed in the contact list order boxes)  ...this is on the direct admin entry form.

*****
Let me try to think this through...

When someone chooses most congregations in the US... it already has the listing available in the database for the "Area" and "City" and "State"...

Is there a way when the congregation is chosen from the drop-down list it will auto post the Area / City / State ??? that woud be neat  :-)
and the submitter can change any of it in each box.

Also if the "Area" is different than the "City" can the Gospel Meetings page display both as shown below... (I just want to know what you think and get you opinion) ...I am trying to make it look as high tech and good looking and informitive as possible... and we both now have time and good pleasure to play with it.  (better to make a page as best we both can before we move to another one  :-)

Dear Aravind,

YOU are doing exactly as you should on this page and I hope you will understand that there will always be some items that will need adjusting and tweeking.  It is  not a reflection of poor design, but simply preferences that I would like to have available.

Please forgive me that I don't have the forsight to have all of this presented up front, but I think the longer we work together it will get easier and easier to know my thoughts of how I like things.  Also I feel better about requesting additional items being done since you are now on monthly pay and not being paid by the page.

#1.  I would always like to "try" to keep our forms in a standard format... meaning, as an example... all city entries are the same on all forms... drop down list with add on blank, etc.

#2.  On the admin page... would it be very hard (if there was only one person conducting the meeting) to display him instead of having to go through the dropdown list and find the person that is highlighted???  Then, if there are more than one, ...have the drop-down list display as it now is.  If this is a whole lot of work, then leave it as-is... but it would be nice if this can be done.  :-)

#3.  Need City drop down (same as members)  Need State drop down (same as members)
This way the City and State... will all be uniformed... if we don't do this, someone will always write the same thing differently... also (like the directory and member's page) have a "standard" of how things are done on our forms.  The City and State needs to be the same way the "Name of Congregation" has a drop-down list and IF not on list, then enter in blank field

Aravind,

On the "old" Gospel Meetings form it has a place for congregations who are financially supporting our effort and they would not to be changed for sending out bulk email announcements...

Could you please ad that check box and comment to the new form... it looked something like:

Note:  If this is an announcement for a congregation:
We have a congregation's HomePage on this site and will not be charged for this bulk email service.

The above should be placed below the option to email notice.

Thanks,

David
