Once
again, if it is the Lord’s will, the congregation at Ozark, MO will be hosting
a weekend meeting featuring young speakers from the region over the weekend
before Memorial Day. The enclosed announcement has all the details about the
meeting. We would like to request that you post the announcement and the
information sheet and announce before your congregation.
Also,
we are reserving time on Saturday evening for young men to give a five-minute
talk. Although we are arranging the meeting a little different this year, with
two of the scheduled talks on Saturday evening, since it is an early evening
service, we hope to have a half dozen or so young men volunteer to give a five
minute talk at the Saturday evening service. If there is a young man in your
congregation who would like to be a five-minute speaker, please have him get in
touch with me (see above).
The
Christians of Ozark and other area Christians will be opening their homes to
accommodate as many visitors as possible. There will be a location just for
single young men, and another for single young women. If your young people are
planning on coming and need a place to stay, do not hesitate to contact me soon.
Enclosed is a list of area hotels/motels/bed & breakfast inns for those who
might want to get their own lodging.
Brother
Mike Criswell of the 85th & Euclid congregation (Kansas City) is
arranging the meeting this year and will be speaking on Lord’s day morning,
May 27, Lord willing.
Please
make plans now to attend. The meeting is now in its third year, and we have an
excellent theme and some fine young men have agreed to give talks. Please come
out and support them and enjoy the fellowship and association of your brothers
and sisters in Christ.
