We had a great meeting last year. The conduct at services was outstanding, and we didn’t hear of any bad reports from the area law enforcement offices nor the motels. We really appreciate that. Sulphur is a very small community, and they judge the entire brotherhood on the behavior they see during this meeting. We pray that our brothers and sisters will be able to retain the goodwill of the townspeople, so that this meeting will continue to be welcomed here.

If you are unable to obtain a room, please contact one of the Sulphur brethren for assistance with a place to stay. A list of possible lodging places is below as well as a list of places to get food.

Again this year, we regret that the following items must be included to refresh your memory, but circumstances over the last 4 or 5 years make these announcements necessary.

Only adults over 21 will be eligible to register for hotel rooms. One or more adults must reside in each room for the duration of the rental. Rooms will not be available for teenagers unattended by adults.

According to Oklahoma state law, every person sleeping in a hotel room must have their name registered with the hotel for accountability in case of emergency or natural disaster. If you have a room rented for 2 people, only those 2 people can legally stay there, etc. Additional guests may be added, but the registration desk must be notified and paid for the extra person(s).

Due to repeated and excessive depletion of towel supplies at the local motels by our members, please be careful to return ALL the towels that are supplied with your rooms. The hotels are unable to continue replacing their stock of towels every time we come to town. We regret that we have earned the reputation of taking these.

Please respect the policies and regulations of the local establishments and the law. Also, remember to use designated waste containers, whether you are at a hotel, at Worship Services, or elsewhere.
