Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Moore Wilkes, age 75 of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 AM Friday September 18, 2020 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Risinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. The Wilkes Family will receive visitors on Thursday September 17, 2020 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In accordance with the Corona Virus Mandate from the office of the Louisiana Governor, it is requested that you use a mask and remember to social distance. Elizabeth Ann Moore Wilkes was born on June 30, 1945 at Columbia, LA to the union of her parents James Edgar “Dickie” Moore and Nora Bell Cockerham Moore and she passed from this life on Tuesday September 15, 2020 at her residence following a brief illness. Known affectionately as Liz to everyone , she loved to work with special needs children and the elderly. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Donald L. Wilkes. She was an active member of Claiborne Church of Christ. Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Kenneth Shane Wilkes of West Monroe; her daughter: Teresa Strahan (Ronnie Lawson) of West Monroe; her brother: Kenny Moore (Zelda) of Hebert; her grandchildren: Austin Strahan (fiancée, Brittany Holmes) and Noah Reppond; her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Strahan and Emersyn Jennings; step-sister: Pam Whitman and special neighbors: Marilyn and Melissa. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Moore, Ethan Risinger, Blake Decorte, Caleb Harris, Ryan Snow and Trey Holloway. Honorary pallbearers include Tim Burris and her grandsons: Austin Strahan and Noah Reppond.
