Evangelistic Efforts Report

I am happy that I have the opportunity to present this successful report for the past year and goals for the beginning of this new year. 2024 had many rocky roads we overcame and many baptisms took place to the Glory of God. Throughout the world this effort played a part in baptisms. The major baptisms took place in The Philippines, Africa, India, Cuba, South America. But we even had the opportunity to help with some baptisms in the United States. Our main function is to develop leads that generate baptisms. Once a “lead” is active and after a couple positive correspondence (sometimes materials given), we then turn over that person to a preacher / leader that is in the same area. And if those studies goes well, then that person is baptized and added to the Lord’s Church. (One plants …one waters …God gives the increase 1Cor 3:6-9)

Our second most important function is to educate the new member in the ways of our Lord, keeping His commandments, the importance in attending Church services, and being a part of the congregation’s activities. I communicate with the local preachers, send articles that will be helpful to the new members.

The third goal and very important is to encourage the home congregation to grow and become a mature congregation that is fully functional and independent (autonomous / self-governing). Most third world countries think they are to be paid a salary by those in United States for ever. This was brought about by many churches in the world that send a great deal of money this way. This year I hope to report on successful congregations that have become fully functional as a self-governing Church able to financially support their own work. I know we will have the poor with us always, but even poor congregations must grow to maturity and there is a Bible plan to carry that out. Next month I plan on presenting to all of you how poor congregation can become self-governing (and I hope to receive your suggestions at that time).

At the end of last year, we had a special group of members send money to repair a number of problems with our website that were lacking due to money restraints. Those repairs have started and will hopefully take about 5 mos to complete. They also helped with some preacher’s concerns and needy members. We also had enough funding to purchase a needed motorcycle for a faithful preacher who’s old motorcycle was beyond repair.

The only thing we were unable to obtain was funding for our monthly budget. We are deficient in our monthly minimum requirements and need to find that support soon. Many don’t understand that IF we cannot maintain our monthly budget, everything else will eventually go under.
